About
Abstract
Ocean View (OV) is made up of a mixture of formal and informal dwellings and is an under-resourced community. The vast majority of residents in OV are bandwidth constrained since data rates in South Africa are comparatively expensive when compared to the average income of residents of under-resourced communities. Due to this, there is a need for the iNethi project to continuously develop locally hosted services and applications so that the community can utilise the network to minimise mobile data usage.
