Abstract
Digitising examination booklets is repetitive, labourintensive, and vulnerable to skew, blur, and misfiled records. ExamScan replaces manual scanning with a semi-automated pipeline. This pipeline is built using a RaspberryPi as the hardware brain to use a fan to lift the current page, and use rotating arms to flip the page. At each flip, a camera captures the page for proccessing. The processing includes removing each page from the scan, extracting the student information and test results before combining it for use by the operator. The operator is able to correct any mistakes easily and is prompted for correction when the system detects it.
