University students rarely lack study material. Lecture slides, textbook chapters and long PDFs pile up quickly, but they don’t come with a clear place to start, a way to practise, or any sense of how much progress has been made. Students end up rereading the same pages, unsure what they actually understand.
EduGrows turns a student’s own notes into a guided, gamified learning path. A student signs in with their UCT account, uploads a PDF and picks a goal, such as a quick overview or exam preparation. EduGrows then breaks the document into a tree of topics. Each topic has a short summary linked to the exact page it came from, so students can always check the source.
Students then practise with questions in six formats, from multiple choice to open-ended answers marked by AI. Questions run across four levels, from recalling a fact to connecting two ideas, and adjust to the student: a mistake brings easier questions next time, while success raises the level. Missed questions are collected in one place for quick revision before a test.
Progress is something students can see. As topics are completed, each document grows into a tree in a personal garden, supported by XP, levels and study streaks.
EduGrows focuses on one goal: helping students know where to start, practise what matters, and see themselves improve.
