About

Abstract

Investing information has never been easier to find. Prices, news, social sentiment and company filings are all public. What a first-time investor lacks is what institutions have: analysts who explain what the evidence means. Without that, beginners decide on whatever their feed shows them, or they freeze.

AlphaSwarm is a multi-agent research platform that closes that interpretation gap. A sentiment agent reads financial news and StockTwits, a quant agent measures a year of price history against peers, and a discovery agent finds stocks trending overnight. An orchestrator built on LangGraph combines their findings into a Signal Scorecard of four disclosed factors (signal strength, agreement between the signals, depth of evidence and fit with the user's risk profile), with no hidden score, and explains every result in plain language at the user's level.

Around the analysis sit a personalised dashboard, a South African unit trust and ETF catalogue, whale watching of insider and institutional activity, an AI assistant (Ask AlphaSwarm), sector-tagged market news, side-by-side comparison, financial planning tools, and a Learning Centre with lessons, quizzes and badges.

AlphaSwarm informs; it does not advise. It shows the evidence and its reasoning, and the investment decision always stays with the user. Built by Team Hive for INF4027W, sponsored by impact.com.
