Abstract

There is an increase in data breaches globally resulting in billions of dollars in losses. The strategy as practice theoretical lens is used to understand the information security strategizing practices in a public sector organisation of a developing economy, the study utilises sociomateriality concepts to investigate the practices of actors within public sector organisations. An interpretivist abductive case study research methodology of public sector organisations in Namibia is employed. Insights will provide recommendations for strategizing from an under-utilised and necessary perspective.
