With the core value of generating retail analytics through intelligent automation, this project had the sole aim of developing an application that would initiate efficiency in business management and promote business savvy decision making for users.
The Cog3nt Product Management and Clustering System is a web application that incorporates product management and product clustering functionalities. Product management allows users to apply CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) functionalities on existing products in a database through the application’s interface. Product clustering utilizes a machine learning algorithm which analyses past transaction history in order to generate recommendations of products for sale.
In addition, an application programming interface (API) is used to ensure end-to-end flow between the web application itself and related machine learning applications. For both main functionalities, the application takes on a more scalable and adaptable approach for management and clustering as users of the system can upload documentation of current records to populate the database and generate new recommendations. The application was developed with an n-tier architecture in mind and uses Microsoft’s ASP.NET Core framework for its build and Microsoft’s ML.Net libraries & classes to generate a 'recommender system' algorithm.
