Teen Entrepreneur Learning Academy (TELA) is an NPO that aims to foster an entrepreneurial spirit amongst the South African youth. In collaboration with Jack Shiels, TELA have created an online Learning Management System (LMS) that offers high schoolers learning modules to build the skills and knowledge needed to develop and sustain their businesses. TELA and Code Maven have collaborated to create an interactive and dynamic marketplace system where the alumni of TELA can display and promote their businesses to the other members of TELA, as well as outside viewers. This marketplace needed shareability tools to make it possible for learners to share their accomplishments on social media. With this marketplace system, Code Maven has implemented a reporting system that allows admin users to track the approval and disapproval rate of the student businesses and interactions with the student’s businesses. Admin users can export reports to PDF or CSV formats. Code Maven has included a space where seminars can be uploaded onto the marketplace system as TELA cannot have live seminars due to COVID-19. The marketplace system acts as a long-term solution to creating an exciting and engaging reward for the online course post-COVID-19. Code Maven has created a space for new entrepreneurs to use to start their businesses that they can use indefinitely.
