About

Abstract

Team 10 is working alongside two stakeholders, Dr. Ilsemarie Sonntag and Isabel Meyer. The stakeholders are veterinarians and welfare stakeholders. The business which is also the aim of the stakeholders is to provide broader access to animal healthcare services, especially in lower-class communities as well as provide tools that will help support Animal Healthcare Technicians (AHTs) in the field. In this SD project, the team has been tasked with developing and deploying a mobile application to achieve the aims that were set by the stakeholders which the team completed within four iterations. This mobile educational app will be used by Animal Health Technicians (AHTs) to help them provide veterinary services to people’s animals. This app will be able to help them as it will provide a diagnostic tree for common conditions in primary health care. The application will consist of a home, resource, blog, and profile page. Key findings identified by the team throughout the project are how to develop decision trees, viewing, uploading, and downloading document functionality, login, and register functionality, and search and filter information functionality. Furthermore, the development of the application was a major success as the team was able to complete the majority of the functionality that was intended for the application to have. A veterinarian and an AHT will be able to use the application and use the different pages that were developed by the team.
